Family photo at the end of the day. Boy, we sure look energetic. We stopped by Neilson park where we've picked pears and apples in the past. Looks like the next door neighbor, to the park, has been harvesting them. Maybe we'll get a few, we'll see.

Looks like lots of fun. I used to LOVE fishing as a kid... and that's the last I've done it. I just remember there being so much to look at out on the water, and conversation really seems to come easily in that setting. What a great family activity, and I'm sure Sarah is learning all the while to love the outdoors like you both do! -de

Hey, I see that Sarah's birthday is coming very soon Cara! Are you making any plans? Amazing that a year will have passed, wow. And she is such a beautiful, joyful little girl. We have missed seeing her around lately. Alvin is convinced that she really likes Joshua, and then (silly me) my thoughts immediately turn to... "what if they get married one day". Raised by you two, and part of such excellent families, I bet she's going to be quite a catch. :)
Only the best for my Joshie. :)

Yeah, I've been thinking of Sarah's b-day since Aug.19. We're having a small party. I'm hoping to do a 'test cake' using some fig paste we made last month. And we discovered "Rice Dream" (mock ice cream) doesn't have any sweetner in it. Yeah! We've been going to first service, so don't see you at church.
Thinking about you everyday Denise. May you know God's provision as you welcome your newest member soon.
