garden getaway
My aunt and uncle have a cabin right close to one of our gardens and we spent the night there Friday. The pictures are a little out of order but the kids and I really enjoyed the sunset while Andy was out doing things in the evening. The sunset view pic is the view from the front door of the cabin. Sarah really enjoyed the loft.
I've been feeling like I have a newborn again as Jacob is waking up 2-3 times a night for the past few weeks. Sarah has woken up in the middle of the night with a dry cough for the past 3 nights...so I make her tea and sometimes she has a snack. If I'm up early with Jacob we've been running around Mill Lake sometimes.
I think Jacob's issue is burps that I can't manage to get out before he goes to sleep. Cause he wakes up really fast and crying and then burps often when I pick him up or a little later.
I had a great time helping Andy in the garden weeding carrots Sat. morning while Jacob had a stroller nap. I would like to get out there more but we only have one car, limited energy and a lot of stuff that has to be 'kept together' here on the homefront. Many more garden helping opportunities around the corner I know.

Lovely pictures Cara. Glad you can be out there sometimes. XO
That is great that you can get away, even for one night! Looks like a cute cabin. I sure hope you can go more often to weed. I know Andy is probably happy for your help and presence!! The kids are so cute!! Hope Jacob finds a better sleeping pattern!!
What sweet pictures. Don't kids just love doing something special!
I hope too that Jacob gets back to sleeping better. Hiding burps isn't a good idea little Jacob. There are other hiding games that are much more fun.
these photos are awesome. What a fun getaway to have. I love the warm light. So glad you guys could do that.
Oh Jacob - that is hard to have such broken sleep. Burps out little buddy!
hi cara! i love all of the beautiful photos you posted. tristan like to look at them too and when he points to them, he says, "there's my friend sarah!"
i have no advice on the sleeping front. my baby boy is also up at least 2 or 3 times a night. he gets super hungry right around 3am and even though i fill him up to the brim right before bed, he is like a little alarm clock, always wanting more milk at 3! just so you know, you're not alone ;)
